MENTAL HYGIENE CUTS PROTESTED AT BUDGET HEARING
On Thursday, January 29, a joint legislative hearing was held on the Mental Hygiene portion of Governor Paterson’s Executive Budget. The proposed budget included reductions in the Office of Mental Health services. Particularly egregious is the postponement of the implementation of the Special Housing Unit (SHU) law. |
