The NAMI Family Support Group Facilitator Skills Training Program, a weekend training workshop, provides NAMI family support group leaders with the requisite skills and knowledge or group dynamics to enable them to run support group meetings where participants are encouraged to share actively in the work of the group, and gain confidence in their abilities to cope and "work the system". NAMI offers training for state trainers in this program annually.
